I fell in love with the central coast when I moved here in 1977 to attend Cal Poly in the Crop Science department. Having transferred after two years at a private university on the island of Maui, I found San Luis Obispo to offer many of the same features I enjoyed growing up in San Diego and then studying in Hawaii. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980, I set off for a three-year adventure travelling the world.

Those three years took me through Central America, the South Pacific, Southeast Asia, India, and Europe. I travelled via many types of watercraft (from dug-out canoe to sail boat and cruise ships) and a variety of air planes also; stopping to work for more travel funds along the way. I met my future wife, Rachelle, in a youth hostel in Dunedin, New Zealand. This trip I considered to be a second bachelor’s degree in global perspective.

Rachelle and I decided to settle in San Luis Obispo and moved back here in 1983; getting married two years later. In 1990 we welcomed our first son and were dabbling in “flipping” real estate. I obtained my real estate license so I could sell real estate as well. Another son blessed our lives in 1992, just when the real estate market was suffering a crash. In 2003 I decided to open my own real estate company and RE/MAX Del Oro was launched.

Today I am more passionate about selling real estate than ever before. We have two offices (San Luis Obispo and Arroyo Grande) and service all of San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties. I am extremely fortunate to associate with my fellow RE/MAX agents who all share a commitment to providing the best customer experience possible for our clients. Today we are constantly adding, changing, and refining our systems to keep up with the fast-changing demands of this industry, always with our clients in mind.
